In Proportion presents a unique body of miniature works by each artist, where advanced creative styles & techniques are explored and beautifully executed. The viewer is invited to experience all five artists simultaneously, from Isaac Emokpae’s solid bronze sculptures, to Alimi’s exploratory mixed media technique combining photography, illusion, painting and craft while applying acrylic paint directly onto glass; Uthman Wahaab’s single work installation of 17 miniature pieces; Lakin Ogunbawo’s poetic and alluring lens of the ‘real’ female body; and Taiye Idahor’s other worldly collages that allow us to observe a new dimension of everyday life. In short, this exhibition sheds light on the realties of our social, environmental and economic issues nationally and globally.
